Flight Control with TEETH!

:
This game uses the basic Flight Control mechanics, puts it in various oceans, and then throws in some challenging twsits. While the game grants you three lives, you'll have to do more than merely avoiding other boats since you can also must avoid running aground and other floating obstacles. Another fun twist not seen in previous route control games is how you're rwarded for your "Order Efficiency". So not only are you tasked with directing as many ship as possible to their correct docks but doing so in the fewest number of orders (every drawn path is an order). Nobody likes to have to constantly shift their planned route due to a clueless Sea Traffic Controller (is there such a position?). The game features three maps (so far) each with a Day and Night stage. In the night stages navigation is made a lot tougher with the limited lighting sources (that lighthouse's illuminating beam is a crucial ally). Lastly, if all of these gameplay twists weren't enough to keep your interest in the game's 6 basic Survival Modes, there are a series of Special Challenges for the player to prove themselves in, like "Can you dock 20 boats in 30 orders or less?"

Like Flight Control But Better!

:
This is an extension of the game mechanics in Flight Control. Guide ships into harbor by touching the ship and drawing a course with your your finger. ships are color coded with their corresponding harbors, etc. I like the inclusion of day and night versions of the same maps, especially the lighthouse mechanic - ingenious.
I was looking for a game like Flight Control but deeper, and this fits the bill.
My only complaint is that the sense of connecting with the ship when you touch it. In Flight Control, they use a 'click' sound indicating you have selecting the aircraft, followed by a satisfying 'thunk' noise inidicating that you hvae guided it to the runway successfully. I missed those little cues when playing and felt a little out of control when playing Sea Captain. I know there are sound effects implemented but they didn't connect to me. That lack of audio feedback during interaction was the complaint I have, adn I only bring it up in the hopes the game devs will see this and act on it.
Otherwise, this is a great game for folks who were looking for Flight Control but wanted a more realized experience.
